Three Streets in Bridgetown is a collection of poems and images, inspired by my childhood memories of three different streets in Bridgetown, Totnes, where I grew up.
The poems were written over the course of a year while I was processing leaving the care of my grandmother. It was quite a painful process of introspection to get the emotions onto the page. The process of compiling it all into a book, whilst creating metaphoric images, and capturing the physicality of those places really helped my process unresolved feelings, at the end of which I was left feeling a deep gratitude for how wonderful some of those memories stand out.
